BIOGRAPHY
I have lived most of my life in Southern California, and have lived in Brea since 1984. I am a Professional Civil Engineer, and have provided engineering and planning consultations to cities for over 35 years. I have served as Public Works Director, City Engineer, and Interim Community Development Director for cities in Orange and Los Angeles Counties. Currently I am serving as Brea Planning Commissioner.
Under the direction of the City Council, established Brea Korea Sister City Association to start Sister City relations between Brea and the City of Anseong in Korea in 2011. Since then, we have had two student exchange visits by the Anseong students to Brea, and this June, 17 Brea students are going to visit Anseong Korea. Also, arranged three annual cultural performances in the Curtis theatre to introduce Asian culture and arts to Brea.
I have three kids. My two younger children were born in Brea, ages 25 and 22, and have attended Brea schools. My oldest daughter lives in Orange and is raising my two grandchildren. Sadly, I lost my wife of 25 years to pancreatic cancer in December 2012.
